As part of its 75th anniversary celebration, Clark College unveiled a commemorative book, Voices and Dreams: Celebrating Clark College’s Diamond Anniversary. Produced by the college’s Department of Communications and Marketing, the book was made possible by a gift from an anonymous donor through the Clark College Foundation. Proceeds from the book benefit the Clark College Alumni Association Scholarship Fund.
Taking readers through each decade at Clark College through the voices of alumni, faculty, staff, administrators, and supporters, the book is available in the Clark College Bookstore for $7.50. Alumni interviewed for the book include former State Senator Al Bauer, Daily Insider editor Tony Bacon, Vancouver City Council member Jeanne Harris, and many more. Faculty, staff and administrators interviewed include past Interim President Ellis F. Dunn, Clark sports legend Claude “Skeet” O’Connell, and the late Dr. Antonio Scarpelli, faculty emeritus.
The bookstore is open from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday and from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Fridays. To contact the bookstore, call 360-992-2149 or visit their Web site at www.clarkbookstore.com.
