Alumni-Student Dinner Alumni-Student Dinner

The annual Alumni-Student Dinner gives Clark College alums the opportunity to connect one-on-one with Clark students in a meaningful way. Originating in 2004, the intent of the event is

  • To provide an opportunity for alums and students to connect with one another.
  • To share experiences academically, professionally, and personally.
  • To offer alums an understanding of the current challenges facing college students.
  • To provide students an understanding of what awaits them and is expected of them once they enter the professional arena.

The Alumni-Student Dinner is a collaborative effort of the Clark College Foundation, Clark College, and the Associated Students of Clark College. The dinner, a buffet prepared and served by Clark's award-winning Culinary Arts Department, is held each spring in the Gaiser Hall Student Center. Students are seated with alums who are working in their field of study or future profession. In order to receive an invitation to the dinner, students must be nominated by Clark faculty, staff, or an Associated Students of Clark College (ASCC) program director or club advisor.

Student nominees should meet the following criteria:

  • The student is outstanding in their department of study.
  • The student will be completing a degree/certificate within the next 5 quarters.
  • The student has expressed a strong interest in their area of study/field/future profession.
  • The student will benefit from the opportunity to interact with alumni in their area of interest.

Thanks to the sponsorship of Riverview Community Bank, there is no cost to the students invited to the dinner. Included in the program each year are the presentation of the Outstanding Alumni Award and the announcement of the recipient of the
Alumni Association Scholarship
