Bingen, Wash, is the site of a new Clark College facility

Bingen, Wash., is the site of a new Clark College facility offering educational opportunity to the residents of the Columbia River Gorge.

More slots will be available in Clark College’s machine technology courses and basic computer-aided design & drafting (CADD) training thanks to a state of Washington grant aimed at beefing up aerospace education.

Tim Cook, vice president of instruction, said Clark will be relaunching its evening machine program that had been in hiatus for several years. The approximately $316,000 grant will allow the community college to add an evening course for 20 more students at Columbia Tech Center, as well as 20 more for its CADD course in Bingen – Clark’s newest satellite campus.
