Gayle Beacock ’81 grew up on the Clark College campus. Her late father, Dale Beacock ’50 was the music department chair, professor and concert band director. She was frequently on campus with her dad well before she enrolled in music classes. Gayle plays the flute and has performed with the Southwest Washington Wind Symphony.

She and her brother Russ ’81 run the family music business, Beacock Music Company, in Vancouver. Several times a week groups of performers—including seniors—converge on the place to fine tune their band-playing skills.
