Health Science building construction

Clark’s Health Science building is under construction.

This fall, Clark College’s facility department is busily working on two construction projects that will affect parking and sidewalks on campus.

The Dental Hygiene remodeling project will continue through the fall quarter. The storage area in the parking lot will be for equipment, materials and vehicles. The foot traffic zone that leads to the work area on the south side of the Health Science building will be marked and fenced off to avoid unauthorized traffic. Access to the main south entrance of the Health Science building will be open via the east sidewalk next to the brown lot, and access to the health clinic will be open on that side as well. The plaza on the north side of the building will be open to foot traffic, but may occasionally be used for project staging.

There is a re-roofing project occurring at the Baird and Bauer buildings. The project may last through October 2013. Work will continue around the perimeter of the building, along all exterior walls while we replace metal fascia and gutters. Access to Baird will be maintained at several locations, all of which will be covered by protective scaffolding.
