Donor and trustee Jane Jacobsen passes away

 In News

Our hearts are heavy for Jane Jacobsen’s family.  Jane passed away unexpectedly last Saturday, May 22, 2021, in Vancouver, Wash. She was a generous donor to Clark College Foundation, giving for 30 years while also establishing a Clark College Board of Trustees Scholarship in 2017.  At the time of her death she was a member of Clark College’s Board of Trustees, a post she had held since 2016.

She once told us about how her education in philanthropy began with her grandmother and loaves of bread. It is a story about making the community a better place for everyone by helping others who are down on their luck. She too experienced hard times and received help from neighbors that she says “saved our lives.”

Read the story about what moved Jacobsen to give back.
