Ed Boston is Clark College Foundation’s new alumni director. Boston is coming to the Northwest from Fort Valley State University in Georgia where he served in a similar role. Prior to heading the alumni program in The Peach State, he served as the senior director of the office of career and alumni services at Fort Valley State University.

Boston also brings with him vast corporate knowledge and background. For 25 years, he served as a regional leader for Mars Incorporated, focusing on team training and development. He has extensive experience in manufacturing, human resources management, sales and marketing. Boston retired in 1999 from the corporate world and opened Boston Associates Consulting in 2000. Seven years later, he joined the staff at his beloved alma mater, Fort Valley State University in Fort Valley, Georgia, and launched his second career.

Boston is dedicated to bettering society with involvement with the NAACP, Urban League, Veterans Hospitals, Opportunities Industrialization Centers, Community Improvement, Association for Talent Development, Boys & Girls Club of America, YMCA, United Way and others.

He has a bachelor’s in history and political science and master’s in guidance and counseling. Boston is the recipient of numerous honors and awards including Leadership Development, Sales Achievement, Mars Tie Club, Pioneer & Innovation Achievement, NAFEO in Higher Education Distinguished Alumni, FVSU Alumni Hall of Fame, Who’s Who in the East, Outstanding Personalities in America, and International Who’s Who of Professionals.

Boston and his wife Daphne Tabor have two sons, two grandsons and one granddaughter. He will begin at the foundation on January 13, 2020.
