Sharif Burdzik, an executive at Lewis & Clark Bank, joined Clark College Foundation’s Board of Directors in December 2020.

Burdzik is a vice president and commercial relationship manager at Lewis & Clark Bank and a former executive from Riverview Community Bank. He has worked in local community banking since the early 2000s after having moved to the Pacific Northwest from his home state of Kansas.

Clark College Foundation’s board is responsible for fiduciary aspects of the nationally ranked foundation, as well as providing leadership, strategic planning and execution of the foundation’s fundraising efforts.

In addition to joining Clark College Foundation, Burdzik also serves on other boards in Southwest Washington. For most of these, he has served as a board chair, including with Clark College’s Veterans Advisory Board, Leadership Clark County, Hazel Dell Salmon Creek Business Association, Cascadia Technical Academy Foundation, New Day Community Dental Clinic, Fourth Plain Business Coalition and Salvation Army Advisory Board.

Burdzik is one of the founders of the International Festival on Fourth Plain and currently serves on the Washington State University Diversity Advisory Board. He is also a director for the Friends of the Elder Justice Center and Partners in Careers.

A member of the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce, Burdzik has served on the Fire Service Delivery Committee and Police Department Community Task Force, and currently serves on evaluation committees for several city housing programs.

A graduate of the University of Kansas and Pacific Coast Banking School, Burdzik enjoys skiing, hiking, reading and spending time with his son, who is a junior at Oregon State University.
